Assay Inside · the paid, one-week study

You know something leaks. You do not know where. Inside finds it.

The free scan reads your business from the outside. Inside goes in: Tally, our field agent, keeps count of where the hours go for one week, with your team's consent, and we come back with where they really go, what each leak costs, and what to fix first.

For owners and CEOs

who feel the drag in margins or hours but cannot point at the process.

For teams of 5 to 150

where a week of someone's time is a cost you can name.

Not a surveillance tool

People opt in, see what is collected, and the report is about processes, not people.

How it works

  1. 01

    Scoping call

Thirty minutes. Which teams, which weeks, what you already suspect, and the KPIs you care about beyond hours saved. You get the consent pack the same day.

  2. 02

    Consent and setup

Each person opts in. Tally, our field agent, goes on their work machine for one agreed week.

  3. 03

    The week

Tally records which applications and windows are in use and for how long. Nothing else. Anyone can pause it or withdraw, even afterwards. We interview the people doing the work.

  4. 04

The maps, the SOPs, the plan

Hours by process and tool, each process mapped with its handoffs and decision points, the procedures written up as they are really done, each bottleneck priced, and a roadmap ranked against your KPIs. Then the raw data is deleted.

What Tally records

  • Which application or window is active, and for how long
  • How work moves between tools and people: the handoffs and the waits
  • Time per process, aggregated by team; everyone sees the same dashboard as the owner

What it never records

  • Keystrokes, passwords, on-screen text or message content
  • Screenshots or recordings
  • Anything outside the agreed hours, apps or machines (allowlists are yours to set)
  • Individual league tables: reports are aggregate, and anyone can pause or withdraw at any time

Tally at work

Tally keeps count of where the hours go. Not of people.

What you get

  • The hours map. Where the week goes, by process, by tool and by team, from observed use rather than estimates.
  • The process maps. Each top process drawn as it really runs: phases, decision points, handoffs, the tools at each step, and where it stalls.
  • SOPs from real work. Written procedures for each mapped process, including the variants and edge cases your team actually handles, ready for training and for an agent.
  • The bottleneck report. Each leak priced on your own numbers with the working shown, the same discipline as the free scan, now with inside evidence.
  • The opportunity roadmap. Every automation candidate ranked by impact and by fit with the KPIs you named, not only hours saved; what an agent takes on first and what stays human.
  • A clean exit. Raw data deleted on delivery; you keep the maps, the SOPs, the report and the aggregates. The first agent build is credited with the fee.

Compliance pack, included

  • Employee notice and opt-in form
  • Data protection impact assessment template
  • Data map: what is collected, where it lives, who sees it
  • Retention schedule: raw data deleted when the report is delivered
  • Works council and HR briefing notes where needed

Built for UK and EU data protection rules. Your counsel reviews it; we adjust to your jurisdiction and your HR policy before anything is installed. Runs on Windows and Mac, installed like any app or pushed through your device management.

Price and timing

A fixed fee, scoped on the call, credited against your first agent build.

The fee depends on team size and the length of the study. The study runs one week, extended only if you ask, and reports within a week of the last day. We say no when the free scan already answers the question.
